When your mind and heart are in the right place:
…a piece of candy is JUST AS healthy as a piece of organic fruit
…a coke is JUST AS healthy as a bottle of purified reverse osmosis water
…a quarter pounder hamburger is JUST AS healthy as an organic salad
The tree of Life is a life of balance not rules of eat this don’t eat that…
Live free and rest in God’s grace
Jesus died FOR our sins.
For our sins DOES not mean IN OUR PLACE because God needs His anger satisfied
Sins = our wrong view of God’s true nature
Jesus died to reveal we have been wrong about God.
Jesus died to reveal God is love.
Jesus died to reveal that God would rather die than repay with evil.
Jesus died to reveal that God would rather be killed than kill back.
There is a reason why the New Testament says:
…Jesus is the exact image of God
…The Son radiates God’s own glory
…The Son expresses the VERY character of God
…Jesus is the VISIBLE image of the invisible God
…God in all His FULLNESS was pleased to live in Christ
…God is light and there is NO darkness in Him
Jesus died to reveal God TO us
That’s what Jesus died FOR us means
God is FOR US….and He has always been for us
God never changes…Jesus is the same yesterday today and forever.
Jesus is God!
“no one has ever seen God. But the unique One, who Himself is God, is near to the Father’s heart, He has revealed God to us” John 1:18
So, the other day I posted this : My goal for today is not to attack anyone with my thoughts or words to people who disagree with my beliefs. So, one of my friends commented this “I don’t see you doing this though”. At first I thought my friend was telling me that she didn’t think that I could accomplish this. BUT, when I thought about it more, my friend actually meant that she didn’t see me attacking people. Wow, it is all about our perspective. Then I got to thinking. If we can have two TOTALLY different perspectives in English within one sentence, HOW MANY different perspectives can we have with the whole Bible in no telling how many different languages we have went through over the years?
food for thought
Asking the WRONG Question
Some questions are NOT good to ask:
In my opinion the worst question to ask is:
WHY does God allow evil?
A better question would be – Does God allow evil?
and the answer is ….NO
asking WHY does God allow evil, assumes He does and is what I believe almost exactly the same questioning that even Jesus tells us NOT to ask in John 9. Listen to Jesus’ response about the man born with blindness:
“Walking down the street, Jesus saw a man blind from birth. His disciples asked, ‘Rabbi, who sinned: this man or his parents, causing him to be born blind?’ Jesus said “YOU’RE ASKING THE WRONG QUESTION. You’re looking for someone to blame. LOOK instead of what God CAN DO.” John 9:1-5 The Message
Therefore, we need to stop the blame game on WHY evil happens and look unto Jesus who is the perfect picture of who God is and WHAT He is like.
GOD DOES NOT:
God is light and there is NO evil in Him at ALL!
WE ARE ONE: GENESIS 11; ACTS 2
I may get some stones thrown at me for this interpretation of Genesis 11, but oh well, what’s new. Ok, so I was reading this chapter. The Bible says that AT ONE time in the beginning all the people of the world spoke the same language and used the same words. This tells me that at one time the people were ONE. Now growing up most believers have always told me that when the “new world order” comes that’s when the last days will come and satan will destroy everything. So, here is my point. In verses 5-9, it says “but the LORD came down to look at the city and the tower that the people were building. Look! He said, the people are united, they are ONE, they all speak the same language, and when they are like this, NOTHING will be impossible for them. Come on, let us go down there and confuse them with different languages. Then they won’t be able to understand each other. In this way the Lord DIVIDED them all over the earth. This is why it’s called Babel because the Lord put confusion in the people’s minds.”
I believe this story needs Jesus. When we look at Jesus and what He has shown us in the New Testament, WHO is the one who divides? WHO is the one who confuses? I mean, are not ALL things possible when we are ONE with God? Jesus said “a house divided CAN NOT stand”
Jesus commanded in prayer that WE ALL be ONE (Jn 17)
Since the Old Testament writers did not have a clear meaning of how God operated. And because they thought that God and satan worked together, I TRULY BELIEVE that verses 5-11 should ACTUALLY say this:
But SATAN came down and saw the people building a nation, a ONE world nation with GOD. They are ALL united living as ONE speaking the same language. ALL things are possible for them! Come on angels, let us go down there and confuse them. Let us destroy them because when they are ONE, then that means I, satan, can no longer attack or harm them.
We NEED to understand that we are ONE people. In Acts when the Holy Spirit was poured out on the people they began understanding ONE language again. It’s a great awakening. Healings occurred. I truly believe this is happening NOW. Acts 2:18- God says “in the last days I will pour out my Spirit on ALL people. I will cause wonders in the heavens above and signs on Earth below. The sun will become dark and THE MOON WILL TURN BLOOD RED.”
This is good news folks. WE ARE ONE! We are waking up. No more dividing. God is restoring US ALL. All over the world. No more ‘us vs them’
