Ambassadors for Christ

Now then we are ambassadors for Christ. 2 Cor. 5:20 The Greek word for ambassador is presbueo which means to act as a representative.

 

Ambassador – a diplomat of the HIGHEST RANK; accredited as a representative from one country to another

 

Represent – take the place of or be parallel or equivalent to

Representation – the act of representing; standing in for someone and speaking with authority

 

We are created in the IMAGE of God. Created in HIS IMAGE

Image – a visual REPRESENTATION of a person

 

Jesus came as a MAN (just like us) on this earth doing signs and wonders and miracles. Even though He is 100% God. He was a HUMAN (just like us) in a right relationship with God doing all these miracles

 

And I believe that is how we are supposed to act here on this earth!

 

Here is why:

 

Adam and Eve had the authority on earth until they sinned. This gave satan the authority, which is why Jesus came. Luke 19:10 says that Jesus came to “seek and save that which was lost”. We became slaves to satan. Paul says that we are a slave to what you obey. Romans 6:16… We had the authority and gave it to satan by sin. This is why satan told Jesus in the 40day fast temptation “all this authority I will give You” if You will just bow down and worship me. Read Luke 4:6-7 Satan told Jesus that he would give Him all the power that has been delivered to him. All that power and authority was delivered to satan by Adam and Eve’s sin. Jesus came and gave us this power back. The Father wanted satan defeated by a man and that is what happened. All authority was given back to Jesus and He has given that back to us when we accept Him as our savior. And NOW we are ambassadors FOR Christ. This is my opinion of what Jesus is telling Christians in Matthew 28:18. I got the power back and now I give it to you. YOU use this power and reclaim mankind!

 

Even though we have been given back this authority, it is important to remember that satan can still get empowered by us obeying him. But it doesn’t change the fact that NOW we are ambassadors FOR Christ on this earth! We are supposed to be an exact visual physical IMAGE of God here on this earth.

I am fully convinced that, WE WHILE ON EARTH, can receive EVERTHING heaven has to offer EXCEPT the glorified body. Luke 12:32 says the Father is pleased to give us the KINGDOM
